ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a Permanent position on a 9-day fortnight roster. This role will be based at our Worsley Alumina Refinery which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (35 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities.

As there is no accommodation on site, you will be required to drive in, drive out on a daily basis. Employees ideally live within an hour’s drive of Collie.

As the Engineer Electrical, you will be responsible for providing electrical engineering expertise to assigned capital projects, ensuring safe, compliant and high‑quality outcomes across design, construction and commissioning activities.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Owning electrical engineering deliverables across the project lifecycle, from concept through to handover
• Developing and reviewing detailed electrical designs, specifications and interface documentation
• Supporting installation, testing and commissioning activities, including FAT and SAT planning
• Coordinating with consultants, suppliers and vendors to resolve technical queries and align to standards
• Contributing to project schedules, change management processes and cost‑effective delivery
• Ensuring technical documentation accurately reflects approved changes and “as built” conditions

ABOUT YOU

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Electrical design and project engineering within industrial or heavy industry environments
• High voltage power distribution systems, protection schemes and fault diagnosis
• Collaborative working across engineering, operations and external partners
• A disciplined, quality‑focused approach with clear communication and strong attention to detail

Qualifications for this position are:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Eligible for Chartered Membership of Engineers Australia)
