About the Role

Heavy Diesel Fitter / Plant Mechanic – Mining (Permanent Role)

7/7 Roster | $73–$79/hr + Super (All Hours) | Camp & Meals Included

Role Overview: As a Heavy Diesel Fitter / Plant Mechanic, you’ll support mining operations by maintaining and repairing a fleet of heavy mobile equipment. This is a hands-on role suited to experienced tradespeople who value reliability, safety, and team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled servicing, maintenance, and inspections
• Diagnose and repair faults on heavy mobile plant
• Complete component change-outs and major rebuilds
• Respond to breakdowns and minimise downtime
• Work independently and within a team environment
• Maintain compliance with site safety systems and procedures

About You: To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Trade qualification: Heavy Diesel Fitter or Plant Mechanic
• Proven post-trade experience in mining or heavy industry
• Experience working on heavy earthmoving equipment
• Current Standard 11 & Coal Board Medical (or willingness to obtain)
• Current QLD Driver Licence
• Strong safety focus and commitment to quality workmanship
