About the Company

Protech is currently recruiting experienced Core Yard / Sample GeoTechnicians on behalf of our client — a dynamic, ASX-listed gold producer and development company. With a portfolio of both established and emerging assets, our client is actively expanding operations at a key gold project in Western Australia’s Eastern Goldfields.

About the Role

• The Core Yard Tech positions is offered on a FIFO 8:6 & 2:2 roster.
• $50-55 per hour
• Temp – Perm Opportunity
• 2:2 / 8:6 Core Yard Rosters Available
• DS /NS
• ASAP Start
• 12 hours days worked/paid

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate closely with the Core Yard AND Exploration drilling team.
• Collect, record, and transport rock samples from drilling activities.
• Conduct sample preparation, including core sampling and dispatch to laboratories.
• Compile and process collected sample data using relevant computer systems.
• Core processing operations, ensuring high QA/QC standards are met (including mark-up, orientation, photography, RQD, density measurements, sampling, etc.).
• Ensure strict adherence to the company’s QA/QC protocols at all times.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Extensive and up-to-date experience in exploration and core yard operations
• Enthusiastic about performing a wide range of hands-on fieldwork
• Well-rounded knowledge of exploration methodologies and mining processes
• Proficient in RC, Diamond Core sampling, handling, and processing
• Holder of a current C-class manual driver’s licence
• HR licence or at least MR (trucks) – preferable for the Field Assistant position
• 4x4 operations
• Microsoft and data entry
• Clearing and rehab experience
• Forklift licence held
