Brisbane Corporate Office
Our Brisbane corporate office is the central hub supporting Aeris’ operating sites, development projects and care and maintenance teams across Australia. From here, our technical specialists, sustainability professionals, geology and exploration teams, and finance and people experts partner with our site teams to drive safe, efficient and productive performance.
Alongside day‑to‑day operational support, the Brisbane office provides strategic oversight and guidance - shaping plans, setting priorities and aligning operational delivery with Aeris’ broader business goals. This ensures our sites have what they need to operate safely and effectively today, while positioning the company for future growth and opportunity.

About the Role
The true value in Aeris comes from two things: people and rocks.
We’ve got the rocks covered but we’re looking for one more incredible person to join the team based in our Brisbane Office as a Principal Resource Geologist.
The Nitty Gritty
Reporting to the Executive General Manager Geology (EGMG) you will be working closely with our Exploration, Mine Geology, and Technical Services teams across all Aeris operations. This senior technical leadership role is responsible for the integrity, governance, and strategic management of Aeris' Mineral Resources and Grade Control models. The role provides authoritative technical guidance to the business on all resource geology matters, supporting Life of Asset planning, growth initiatives, and key investment decisions.
The position ensures Mineral Resource estimates are prepared, reviewed, and reported in accordance with the JORC Code, internal standards, and ASX continuous disclosure requirements, and where appointed, the role holder acts as Competent Person for Mineral Resource statements.
What you Bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Geology with significant experience in the mining and exploration industry, with proficiency in Vulcan or equivalent 3D modelling software.
- A demonstrated track record of signing off JORC-compliant Mineral Resource statements and delivering accurate, defensible, and audit-ready Mineral Resource estimates, evidenced through successful external audits, or peer reviews.
- Strong technical leadership qualities, including the ability to set clear expectations, review and sign off on the work of site geology teams, and hold others accountable for data quality, model input standards without direct line authority.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to present complex resource geology assessments, studies and findings clearly to senior leadership, Boards, investors, and external auditors.
- Ability and willingness to travel to successfully meet and manage the needs of the business’s key internal and external stakeholders.
- Current and valid manual unrestricted driver’s licence.
