About the Role

Coatings QA Technician

Location: Auckland Harbour Bridge, NZ

Employment Type: Permanent Full Time

Work Arrangement: Residential

We are seeking an experienced Coatings Technician to join our Asset Services team, working on the Auckland Harbour Bridge.

This is a hands-on, technically focused role supporting Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Supervisors to deliver high-quality industrial coatings and maintenance works on one of NZ’s most critical infrastructure assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers and Engineers in delivering coatings renewal projects
• Monitor and support compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, documentation, and cost tracking
• Coordinate labour, plant, equipment, and materials
• Communicate with suppliers, contractors, clients, and internal teams
• Support delivery across multiple sites, including travel as required

About You

• AMPP Coatings Inspector Level 2 (CIP2) qualification or equivalent
• Experience in industrial coatings and quality assurance
• Comfortable working at heights and in industrial environments
• Competent with MS Office and project documentation systems
• Well organised with strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Clear communicator who works well with diverse stakeholders
• Committed to high safety, quality, and compliance standards
