Catering Manager

About the Company

ESS provides multi-service capability to major companies and organisations operating in remote sites, gold mines and coal fields. We provide vital workplace support for people working in some of the most isolated terrains in the world, from oil rigs in the North Sea to gold mines in the Australian Outback.

You will be based in regional NSW working on our remote mine site village

• Salary: $130,000 Inc superannuation
• Roster: 14 days on, 7 days off
• Work Hours: 12 hours per day
• FIFO from Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane

The Position:

• Manage & mentor a team of chefs, kitchen hands & dining room staff
• Ensuring compliance with all catering requirements
• Oversee food production
• Driving regular and sustainable improvement in our catering performance
• Conducting regular interactions with all levels throughout our villages
• On the ground support to all Head Chefs throughout our portfolios
• Training and development of identified talent within the organisation
• Ensure we deliver high quality catering and support services to our clients
• Fostering a high-performance culture through continuous improvement and innovation
• Staff engagement and development, modelling positive working relationships, demonstrating trust, care and respect

The Person:

• Experience in Site Based Catering Management positions in high-volume environments
• Strong people management skills
• Minimum Cert 3 in Commercial Cookery
• Food safety supervisor Certification
• Strong and decisive leadership skills with ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to identify and implement new innovations within the facilities management, hospitality, or hotel services industry
• Experience in managing multiple stakeholder relationships, effectively bringing people along the journey
• You will be passionate in all things customer service and have a genuine commitment to safety
