About the Role
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and driven Branch Manager to lead our Newcastle operations and play a key role in driving performance, safety, and customer outcomes.
Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, you will take full ownership of the Newcastle Branch, leading a team and overseeing all operational, financial, and customer service activities. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will influence culture, performance, and growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop a team (5 direct / 25+ indirect reports)
- Lead and manage day-to-day branch operations across parts, service, and support teams.
- Drive a strong safety culture aligned with Komatsu’s Golden Rules and HSE standards.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships and deliver on the Customer Support Charter.
- Monitor and improve key KPIs including WIP, technician productivity, and sales performance.
- Manage branch P&L, budgets, and financial performance.
- Identify opportunities for growth and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, governance, and risk management requirements.
- Maintain high standards of branch presentation, facilities, and asset management.
About You / Requirements
- Proven leadership experience in operations, service, or customer-focused environments.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and performance.
- Background in construction, mining, or heavy equipment industries (highly regarded).
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to analyse performance, identify gaps, and implement improvements.
- Experience with systems such as SAP or Dynamics (desirable).
- Trade or technical background (advantageous).
