About the Role
- Perform steel cord and fabric conveyor belt splicing, repairs and maintenance activities
- Carry out pulley lagging using cold vulcanised methods in line with Fortescue standards
- Apply rubber lining to pipes, spools, chutes, launders and associated equipment
- Conduct conveyor system maintenance including roller replacements, frame change-outs, skirt maintenance & tracking system installations
- Maintain high standards of safety and belt hygiene across fixed plant operations
- Complete preventative maintenance inspections and accurately record data in the Plant Data System (PDS)
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance reliability and performance
Qualifications and Experience
- Level 2 or 3 Belt Splicing qualification (desirable)
- Must hold a current Driver's License
- Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical, including Drug & Alcohol Screening
- National Police Clearance issued within the last 6 months
- WA residents only
- No visa holders will be accepted for this role
- Experience with conveyor components; scrapers, rollers, pulleys
- Experience working within fixed plant or continuous processing environments
- Strong knowledge of conveyor systems, maintenance practices and production requirements
- Experience using computerised maintenance management systems (e.g. SAP, PDS)
- Solid understanding of maintenance and reliability strategies in large-scale operations
- High attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem solving
- Strong commitment to safety and achieving zero harm outcomes
