Our Opportunity

Location: Solomon - Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.

**Roster:**7D7N14R FIFO ex Perth and Busselton 

As a Heavy Diesel Fitter in the Ancil Department at Fortescue's Solomon Project, your expertise will be essential in maintaining and optimising Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) critical to our operations, ensuring they operate efficiently and in alignment with our ambitious sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Applying your experience across equipment such as D10T & Liebherr 776 dozers, Komatsu WA1200 and CAT 994K/H loaders, graders (16M–24M), Piacentini Panther floats, and 854K wheel dozers
• Performing diagnostics and fault finding to ensure optimal equipment performance
• Carrying out both workshop-based and field (pit) maintenance activities
• Collaborating with mobile maintenance teams to achieve full schedule compliance
• Adhering to all site safety standards, procedures, and Fortescue policies

Qualifications and Experience

• Australian Recognised Trade Certificate as a Heavy Duty (HD) Fitter or Diesel Mechanic for Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME)
• Previous experience working in the mining industry
• Borad experience with mobile plant equipment
• Strong commitment to workplace safety
