The Opportunity

As a Surveyor at Ulan Underground Mine, you will operate as part of the Technical Services team reporting to the Mine Surveyor. For the right candidate, this position offers great development opportunities and career progression.

• Develop and maintain accurate mine survey control network
• Provide directional control for development mining, longwall installation, conveyor belt installation, surface projects etc.
• Update statutory and mining plans
• Recording development and longwall production on a weekly and monthly basis
• Maintain survey equipment in good operating condition
• Month end stockpile volumes and processing
• Undertake other surveying tasks to support operations, as required

About You

• Tertiary qualification in Surveying (or working towards)
• Prior practical surveying experience (working in an underground coal mine would be an advantage)
• Proactive and self-motivated attitude
• Demonstrate ability to apply risk management principles to ensure safe work practices
• High- level computer competency, sound AutoCad Pix4D, Pointsrudio and Microsoft Office skills
• Strong Communication skills
• Highly effective planning, organising and problem-solving skills
• Have a desire to work towards Registration
