Area Manager - Pilbara Operations

About the Role

We are currently seeking an Area Manager – Pilbara Operations to join our team. In this role, you will oversee REMA TIP TOP's operations across key client's sites in the Pilbara region, ensuring operational efficiency, strong client relationships, and the successful delivery of services.

Operating on a FIFO roster of 4 days on / 3 days off, this position plays a critical leadership role in managing multiple operational teams while driving performance, safety, and continuous improvement across sites.

This opportunity will be offered on a permanent full-time contract.

You will be responsible for:

• Overseeing daily operations across assigned areas to ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with business objectives and contractual requirements.
• Providing strong safety leadership by ensuring compliance with Rema Tip Top policies, procedures, and client safety systems across all locations.
• Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of Coordinators, Supervisors, and operational personnel to drive high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Managing operational performance to achieve agreed revenue, cost control, and profitability targets across assigned areas.
• Reviewing and analysing monthly financial and operational reports to monitor performance, identify risks and opportunities, and support corrective actions where required.
• Ensuring consistent service delivery standards across sites, including workforce capability, planning, and resource utilisation.
• Building and maintaining effective relationships with key clients and internal stakeholders to support service delivery, issue resolution, and business continuity.
• Supporting workforce planning, mobilisation, and capability development in collaboration with Operations, WHSEQ, and Training teams.
• Developing a process of continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, productivity, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Section Criteria – Essential

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an operational management or leadership role, within mining, industrial services, maintenance, construction, or a similarly regulated environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop supervisors and operational teams, driving performance, accountability, and continuous improvement across multiple sites or work fronts.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with clients, employees, subcontractors, and internal support teams.
• Well-developed commercial and financial acumen, including the ability to read, understand, and contribute to Profit and Loss statements, budgets, forecasts, and cost control initiatives.
• Proven capability in planning, coordinating, and managing operational activities to meet safety, quality, schedule, and financial objectives.
• Sound understanding of workplace health and safety obligations, including relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and applicable industry standards.
• High level of computer literacy, including confidence using operational systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications.

Section Criteria – Desirable

• Formal qualifications in Leadership, Management, Project Management, or Business.
• Project management experience, including planning, execution, and delivery of operational or improvement initiatives.
• Experience contributing to business growth, contract performance, or client retention through operational or commercial improvement initiatives.
