Alcoa Senior NDT technician

About the Role

The NDT Lead – QA/QC is responsible for overseeing all non-destructive testing (NDT) activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, client requirements, applicable codes/standards, and quality management systems. This role combines technical leadership, supervision, and coordination of NDT personnel while ensuring inspection results support overall QA/QC integrity and regulatory compliance.

This position works closely with SRG operational teams onsite, and reports directly to the site supervision and manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Work safety and efficiency as part of a team.
• Seek and drive continuous improvement.
• Liaise with clients and provide clear and concise results and information as required.
• Prepare and compile worksheets and reports.
• Carry out NDT and Inspection activities as per standard, company procedures, and written instructions, analyzing results against the required acceptance criteria.
• Provide assistance to engineering and metallurgy staff where required.
• Carry out regular maintenance and calibration on all SRG equipment.

About You / Requirements

• Minimum 3 years\u2019 experience in relevant industry experience with experience in Alumina refineries advantageous.
• ISO 9712 Level 2 certification in MT, PT, UT, RT, ET or a combination of
• Proven experience in a lead, senior, or supervisory NDT role
• Strong working knowledge of industry codes and standards
• Experience working within QA/QC systems on industrial projects
• Ability to review and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Strong communication, documentation, and leadership skills
