Our Cadia Valley Operation in New South Wales is situated about 25 kilometers from Orange and 250 kilometers west of Sydney. Cadia produces gold doré bars from a gravity circuit and gold-rich copper concentrates from a flotation circuit. The operation includes the Cadia East Mine which is globally renowned for its use of block caving, a large-scale underground mining method.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Advisor, Social Performance to support the successful delivery of key social performance programs at site level. This role is integral in helping us maintain our social licence to operate through meaningful stakeholder engagement, thoughtful community investment, and responsible management of social impacts.

Working closely with both internal teams and local communities, you will play a key role in delivering initiatives that drive positive, sustainable outcomes and strengthen relationships built on trust and collaboration. This is a dynamic and rewarding position where no two days are the same—offering variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to make a tangible difference in the communities in which we operate.

In this role, you will:

  • Support stakeholder engagement activities, including planning, implementation, and tracking
  • Assist with social investment and community donation programs
  • Contribute to social impact management initiatives
  • Support programs relating to human rights, cultural heritage, and Indigenous relations
  • Monitor and report on social performance activities
  • Ensure compliance with social performance policies, standards, and procedures
  • Contribute to maintaining strong community relationships and the site’s social licence to operate

About You

You are a collaborative and proactive professional with a strong passion for community engagement and sustainability. You bring excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to work effectively across diverse teams and build meaningful, productive relationships.

You demonstrate sound judgement and strong problem-solving abilities, along with a genuine willingness to learn, grow, and continuously improve.

You will bring:

  • A degree in social sciences, sustainability, or a related discipline (preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience in community engagement
  • Foundational experience or knowledge in:
    • Stakeholder engagement
    • Social performance or social impact management
    • Cultural heritage and/or Indigenous relations

Please note this is a 5/2 residential role based in Orange, NSW. It is preferred that applicants have current and unrestricted working rights in Australia.
