As the mining contractor for the Carmichael Mine, we continue to grow our operations in Central Queensland and are seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to join our site-based team.
About the Opportunity
This position plays a key role in supporting site leaders and crews to maintain a strong safety culture across mining operations. Working closely with operational personnel, you will provide practical health and safety guidance while driving compliance, continuous improvement, and positive safety outcomes on site.
Your responsibilities will include supporting site compliance activities, assisting with incident investigations and corrective actions, participating in audits and inspections, reviewing procedures and risk controls, and contributing to
ongoing safety initiatives across the project.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience working in a Safety Advisor position within mining, heavy industry, or large-scale civil environments. You will also bring:
- Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety
- Current Standard 11 and G2 competencies, or willingness to obtain
- Current Queensland Driver Licence
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships on site
- A proactive and team-focused approach to safety
