Workshop Operations Manager
Kewdale, WA
$120K - $130K + Super (depending on experience)
Pearl Recruitment is partnering with a well-established WA business specialising in heavy equipment sales, service and aftermarket support to recruit an experienced Workshop Operations Manager.
This is a hands-on role responsible for coordinating workshop service operations, managing customer requirements, and ensuring repairs, rebuilds and servicing projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Working closely with the wider operations team, you will manage the full lifecycle of workshop service jobs, including planning, scheduling, quoting, job costing, customer communication and quality assurance.
This role would suit an experienced workshop or service professional with a strong mechanical background who enjoys combining technical knowledge with project coordination and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage workshop service jobs, repairs, rebuilds and inspections from start to finish
- Plan, schedule and prioritise workshop activities to meet customer requirements and deadlines
- Prepare quotations, job costings and invoices
- Liaise with customers regarding service updates, recommendations, estimates and technical support
- Conduct final quality checks and ensure completed work meets quality standards
- Manage warranty repairs, after-sales support and service documentation
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure efficient service delivery
- Maintain accurate job records, work orders, purchase orders and invoicing through business systems
- Support stock control and inventory management processes
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to a positive, safety-focused team culture
About You
You will have experience coordinating workshop service operations within a mechanical, hydraulic, heavy equipment or similar technical environment. You are organised, solutions-focused and confident managing multiple priorities while maintaining strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
To be successful, you will have:
- 3-5+ years' experience in a workshop service, service coordination or project management role
- Strong understanding of workshop repairs, servicing and job costing
- Mechanical or hydraulic experience (OEM experience highly regarded)
- Experience managing customer requirements and service delivery outcomes
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple jobs simultaneously
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong computer skills and confidence using business systems
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
