Who are we?

Liontown Limited (ASX: LTR) is an ASX listed company with a focus on battery minerals. We aim to be an ESG leader in the resources sector and a globally significant provider of battery minerals for the rapidly growing clean energy market. We will do this by finding, developing and supplying the battery minerals required by the rapidly growing electric vehicle and energy storage industries.

We control two major lithium deposits in Western Australia and have ambition to grow our portfolio through downstream expansion and exploration acquisitions.

Our flagship Kathleen Valley Lithium Project is a Tier 1 hard rock lithium asset, recognised for its scale, grade, and longevity. Now ramping up underground production, Kathleen Valley represents one of the most significant new lithium operations globally and is central to Liontown’s long-term growth strategy.

The opportunity

Reporting to the WHS Superintendent, the WHS Advisor will be responsible for providing expert advice and support on workplace health and safety (WHS) matters within the mining industry. In this role, you will work from our world-class Kathleen Valley lithium operation on an 8 days on 6 days off roster, collaborating closely with site management and field-based teams to ensure compliance with WHS regulations and promoting a culture of safety.

What you’ll be doing

  • Develop and implement effective WHS policies, procedures, and strategies aligned with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, risk assessments, inspections, and training activities.
  • Analyse incident reports and assist in investigations to identify root causes and recommend preventive measures.
  • Deliver WHS training programs, including to management, supervisors, and employees, to enhance their understanding and compliance with WHS practices.
  • Develop training materials, presentations, and resources aligned with industry standards and regulations.
  • Stay informed about changes in WHS legislation and industry trends and provide relevant updates and recommendations to management.

What we’re looking for

  • Minimum of a Cert IV in Work Health & Safety (or higher).
  • Proven experience working as a WHS Advisor, preferably with mining and processing experience, and maintenance shutdown experience.
  • Audit experience/ Lead Auditor skill set.
  • High attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, INX, Evotix, and SharePoint.
  • WA Class C Driver’s Licence.
  • Current First Aid certificate.
  • Have obtained a National Police Clearance within the last 6 months, or ability to obtain one.
  • Able to pass a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol screen.
