About the Company
Pearl Recruitment is currently seeking experienced Vehicle Bodybuilders for our well-established client based in Forrestfield, specialising in heavy-duty road transport equipment. This is a great opportunity to secure ongoing workshop-based work with an immediate start and genuine potential for permanent employment.
About the Role
Vehicle Bodybuilders – Forrestfield workshop location – Local 8:6 roster – Day shift only – 12-hour shifts | 11.5 hours paid per day – $61.78 per hour + superannuation – Ongoing temporary-to-permanent opportunity – Immediate start available
Key Responsibilities
- Reading and interpreting fabrication drawings
- Completing MIG, FCAW and ARC welding
- Fabricating components and assembling heavy-duty trailers and road transport equipment
- Using a range of hand tools, power tools and workshop machinery
- Completing repairs, modifications and maintenance as required
- Working collaboratively with other trades and team members
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
About You / Requirements
- Relevant trade certificate
- Experience with MIG, FCAW and ARC welding
- Aluminium welding experience
- Previous experience within road transport fabrication, repairs or maintenance, ideally 3-5 years
- Experience working on trailers or other heavy-duty transport equipment
- Forklift licence, desirable but not essential
- Current driver's licence and reliable transport
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol assessment
- Unrestricted Australian working rights
