Underground Mining Engineer

About the Role

Join Evolution Mining at our Cowal Gold Operation as an Underground Mining Engineer and play a key role in supporting our expanding underground operations. Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer, you will be responsible for generating mine designs and schedules that drive safe and efficient production outcomes.

This is a residential or DIDO opportunity on an 8:6 roster, working 12hour shifts. You’ll be part of a collaborative and growing team, contributing to a site that is increasing production from 2.0Mt to 2.4Mt. With exposure to multiple mining disciplines and a strong focus on continuous improvement, this role offers excellent development opportunities in a supportive environment.

You’ll also benefit from:

About You

You are a motivated and safety conscious Mining Engineer with a passion for underground operations and a desire to grow your career in a dynamic environment.

You bring:

• A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related discipline
• 2–5 years’ experience in underground mining (startup experience advantageous)
• Familiarity with NSW regulatory frameworks and risk management practices
• Proficiency in mine design software, ideally Deswik CAD and Interactive Scheduler
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• A proactive, self directed approach and commitment to Evolution’s values of Safety, Excellence, Accountability, and Respect
