Work Location: Perth Office - Fortescue's Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people. Ad hoc site travel as required.

Roster:  Monday to Friday

12-month fixed term or secondment

Fortescue is leading the global transition to green energy and decarbonised mining. As part of this journey, we are seeking a Master Data Specialist to join our Asset and Maintenance Readiness Team within the Decarbonisation Project portfolio.

This role is critical to ensuring that all decarbonisation assets are supported by accurate, complete, and standardised master data, enabling a seamless transition from project delivery into safe and reliable operations.

You are a detail-oriented and systems-savvy professional who understands the critical role of high-quality master data in enabling asset reliability and operational success.  You thrive in a fast-paced project environment, bring a structured and methodical approach to your work, and are confident engaging with stakeholders across projects and operations to deliver outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and load maintenance and technical object master data into SAP (CMMS) in line with Fortescue standards
  • Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) for decarbonisation assets
  • Perform mass updates and data uploads for SAP MM and PM data
  • Ensure all master data aligns with project delivery schedules and operational readiness requirements
  • Maintain and update master data workbooks and documentation
  • Collaborate with project teams, asset management, and site operations to validate data requirements
  • Engage with OEMs and vendors to source and verify asset and maintenance data
  • Seek and obtain stakeholder approvals for master data prior to system load
  • Support handover of master data ownership to Asset Management and site-based teams
  • Provide progress reporting and data readiness updates to key stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in SAP master data creation and management within mining or heavy industry
  • Proven experience developing and loading maintenance master data (PM/MM)
  • Strong understanding of asset structures, BOMs, and maintenance data requirements
  • Experience working in project or operational readiness environments
  • High proficiency in SAP and Excel, including bulk data handling and uploads
  • Familiarity with LSMW or similar data migration tools
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to tight timelines
  • Trade qualification or maintenance planning background highly regarded
  • Experience in greenfield or decarbonisation projects is advantageous
  • Knowledge of Fortescue Master Data standards
  • Experience with OEM asset portals (e.g. CAT SIS, MyLiebherr)
  • Exposure to project management practices.
