Role Overview
Dalgaranga Gold Mine is seeking a Mine Geologist (Underground) to join our site geology team, reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist. You'll be at the heart of underground production, providing geological support to ensure ore is safely identified, mined and processed to meet production targets.
Working closely with the mining and technical services teams, your interpretation will feed directly into our grade control and resource models. If you're driven by real problems, real results and a team that has your back, this is your kind of role.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete daily production tracking, reconciliation and validation of mined material, including stockpile and heading management
- Undertake geological mapping and sampling of development headings
- Plan and manage underground drilling programs (diamond and sludge) to delineate ore
- Create, update and maintain 3D geological models
- Manage and validate drillhole and ore production data
- Lead and mentor graduate geologists and geology technicians
- Ensure timely collation of geological data including QAQC, and communicate geological understanding across departments
About You
- Bachelor of Science in Geology or Geosciences
- Previous underground experience in a mine geology role
- Proficiency in Surpac, Micromine and/or Leapfrog
- Solid understanding of grade control drilling program design
- Knowledge of gold mineralisation systems, underground mining methods and Archean greenstone systems
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- National Police Clearance and a "C" class Western Australian driver's licence
Experience in block modelling and estimation, EOM reconciliation and blast vector indicator monitoring will be highly regarded.
