Underground HSET Advisor

About the Role:

We’re looking for driven and experienced underground HSET Advisors with strong mining exposure and a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE) to step into a dynamic, hands-on role at the heart of underground production. This is your chance to make a real impact - leading safety from the front, ensuring compliance, and lifting workforce capability in a high -performance environment.

You’ll go beyond traditional HSE support, playing a key role in training, coaching, and developing crews on site, shaping behaviours and building a strong, competent workforce while driving a proactive safety culture underground.
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site HSET support across underground operations
• Deliver training, assessments, VOCs, and refresher programs
• Conduct inspections, audits, and risk assessments underground
• Lead and support incident investigations (ICAM or similar)
• Deliver toolbox talks, pre-starts, and safety interactions
• Support and maintain training matrices and competency records
• Ensure compliance with site procedures and legislative requirements
• Drive continuous improvement in safety and training performance

About You:

• Proven experience as an HSET / HSE Advisor in underground mining (essential)
• Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE) – essential
• Strong understanding of underground mining operations and high-risk activities
• Experience delivering training, assessments, and competency frameworks
• Confident engaging with crews and influencing safe behaviours

Requirements:

• Cert IV in Work Health & Safety (or equivalent)
• Cert IV in Training & Assessment (TAE)
• ICAM (or similar) highly regarded
• Current Driver’s Licence
• Ability to pass medical and Drug & Alcohol Screen
