Underground Charge Up Operator

About the Role

Protech are looking for experienced Production Charge Up Operators to perform work with our client, located in the Tanami Desert on a 2/2 FIFO basis.

• Pay rate: $70.65 casual flat rate + super on all hours
• Tuesday to Tuesday roster
• 2/2 roster: week of days, week of nights
• Immediate start
• Point of hire: Darwin, Alice Springs, Perth or Brisbane

Key Responsibilities

• Operate charge-up machines efficiently
• Follow plans accurately to charge development faces with explosives
• Ensure correct storage and transportation of explosives
• Apply a solid understanding of ground support techniques
• Operate an Integrated Tool Carrier
• Conduct pre-starts on equipment and workplace inspections

Tickets & Experience Required

• 1+ years’ experience in an underground production charge-up role
• Proficiency in an Integrated Tool Carrier
• Ability to maintain fitness for work and pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol testing
• Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance within 3 months
• Valid and contactable references
• Strong understanding of and adherence to OHS

Desirable Experience

• Experience with emulsion
