About the Role

Protech are seeking experienced Underground Service Crew and Paste Crew Operators to join our tier-one mining client located in the Northern Territory on a FIFO basis.

• Immediate starts available
• Casual contract positions
• Lifestyle 2/2 roster (week of days, week of nights)
• 12-hour shifts
• FIFO from Darwin, Alice Springs, Perth and Brisbane
• Accommodation and meals provided
• Weekly pay

Key Responsibilities

Service Crew

• Provide underground mine services support including ventilation, water, pumps and reticulation systems
• Assist with installation and maintenance of underground infrastructure
• Operate integrated tool carriers and other underground equipment where required
• Maintain a safe and productive work environment

Paste Crew

• Assist the backfill and services department in an underground environment
• Install, maintain and repair paste systems and pipelines
• Construct and maintain paste walls
• Operate underground equipment safely, including ITs where applicable
• Liaise with paste plant operators and support paste fill activities

Tickets & Experience Required

• Minimum 12 months’ experience in an Underground Service Crew and/or Paste Crew role
• Experience in underground hard rock mining environments
• Integrated Tool Carrier (IT) experience highly regarded
• HDPE, poly welding, paste fill or reticulation experience desirable
• Working at Heights ticket desirable
• Valid Australian Work Rights
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
• Ability to obtain or hold a current National Police Clearance
• Reliable and contactable references
