Job Description

About the Role

  • As a Tyre Fitter, you will be responsible for removing, repair and refit tyres on mining equipment. Your duties will also include diagnostics of tyre, rim and wheel conditions.

About the Site

  • Karara is the largest mining operation and the first major magnetite mine in the Mid-West. It produces a premium, high-grade concentrate product for export to steelmakers. With an expected life of 30+ years, it will underpin a long-term iron ore business and provide sustainable benefits to the regional community where we operate.

What we are looking for

  • Australian Manual Drivers Licence (HR Desired)
  • Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology
  • Tickets and licences EG: Forklift, Rigging, Crane, etc (Desired)
  • Minimum 3 years post trade experience
  • Experience with CAT 793F / 77D Haul Trucks, Komatsu WA900-8 Loaders, Komatsu 785-7 Water Trucks, CAT 14M / 16M Graders
  • Demonstrated behaviours which align with NRW’s values and safety focus
  • A “can do” attitude and strong team commitment
