About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Training Specialist to join our business in a full time, permanent role. This role is critical in ensuring our workforce is competent, compliant, and supported through fit for purpose training frameworks and systems. This role will require regular travel to operational sites to support the development, implementation and ongoing monitoring of training and competency requirements.

About the role:
Reporting to HR QT Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a consistent, business wide approach to training, competency and compliance. You will work closely with Operations, HSE and key stakeholders to ensure training requirements are clearly defined, monitored and addressed.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a competency framework across the business
- Consolidate existing Training Needs Analyses (TNAs) into one overarching TNA aligned to business and operational requirements
- Maintain training and competency records within INX, including uploading documentation and ensuring data accuracy
- Monitor training and competency compliance across the business
- Proactively identify gaps and work with Operations to address any non‑compliance
- Support continuous improvement of training processes, systems, and reporting
- Provide advice and guidance to leaders on training, competency, and compliance requirements
- Travel to operational sites as required to engage with stakeholders, review training needs, and support compliance activities
About You:
- Proven experience in a Training, Learning & Development, or Competency role (ideally within mining, resources, construction, or heavy industry)
- Strong experience developing competency frameworks and managing TNAs
- Experience using INX (or similar training/compliance systems)
- Ability to work closely with Operations and HSE in a pragmatic, solutions‑focused way
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Confident communicator who can influence and support leaders across the business
