Description & Requirements

Monadelphous is seeking experienced Senior HSE Advisors to contribute to the safe delivery of our major Engineering Construction Projects across the Oil & Gas, Lithium and Iron Ore sectors. Available positions include FIFO Shutdowns and FIFO 2&1 project rosters.

All positions come with competitive salary packages, site uplifts, and Project Completion Bonuses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide HSE advice and expertise to manage HSE issues and to improve HSE performance, culture and management.
  • Conduct and support HSE audits, inspections, investigations, and training/awareness.
  • Monitor work practices to ensure adherence to safety and environmental procedures and standards.
  • Ensure all HSE processes and activities; JHA’s, permits etc. comply with relevant HSE legislation and company standards.
  • Provide hands on support to implement HSE improvements, plans or solutions.
  • Maintain knowledge of contemporary HSE practices to recommend and implement effective HSE solutions.
  • Conduct routine and ad-hoc analysis and investigations on HSE performance data to identify performance trends and areas of concern/risk at a Project and or Site level. Propose and follow-up on recommendations for action.

What you’ll bring:

  • Minimum 3+ years experience in a site-based HSE role, ideally working for similar construction contractors on multi-disciplinary scopes of work.
  • Certificate IV qualification in OHS/WHS.
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment preferred.
  • Applied First Aid Certificate.
  • Strong understanding and working knowledge of Australian HSE legislation and industry standards.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confident user of MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
  • A strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • An innovative approach to problem solving, continuous improvement and successful delivery methods.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to deliver a message effectively.
  • A proactive, motivated mindset and someone who thrives when working under pressure.
  • Valid Australian Driver’s License.
  • Proof of right to work in Australia.
