Training & Assessor

About the Role:

We’re on the hunt for a high-impact Trainer & Assessor with solid underground mining experience to play a key role in lifting workforce capability and safety performance on site. This is an exciting opportunity to get on the ground, delivering hands-on, competency-based training across underground equipment while ensuring operators meet the highest site and legislative standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver training and assessments for underground mobile equipment and operations
• Conduct site inductions, VOCs, and refresher training
• Develop and update training materials, assessments, and competency frameworks
• Support workforce compliance with site standards and statutory requirements
• Work closely with supervisors to identify and close training gaps
• Maintain accurate training records and competency matrices
• Promote safe work practices and reinforce site safety culture

About You:

• Proven experience as a Trainer & Assessor in underground mining
• Strong knowledge of underground equipment and operations
• Confident delivering training to diverse crews in high-risk environments
• Ability to engage, coach, and influence frontline personnel
• Well organised with strong attention to detail and compliance

Requirements:

• Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE)
• Demonstrated underground mining experience (essential)
• Relevant tickets/competencies on underground equipment (highly regarded)
• Current Driver’s Licence
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol Screen
