About the role
We are looking for a Site Communications Technician to bring their technical expertise into our team which supports our sites at Pannawonica.
This is a great opportunity for someone technically minded wanting to further their career either in a residential role or 8:6 FIFO Perth to Pannawonica roster.
Reporting to the Coastal Site Communications Supervisor and working in a challenging and exciting environment within Site Communications Coastal Team, you will be:
- Safely carrying out inspections, scheduled maintenance and breakdown maintenance of all SC components that are part of the Mine Communications network E.g. VMR, Fibre Network, CCTV, LTE and part of the Rail Systems Infrastructure
- Managing customer expectations
- Identifying improvement opportunities
- Ensuring that maintenance is of a high quality and re-work is not required
- Using SAP to raise notifications, complete time confirm and enter reliability and maintenance activity information.
About you
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- Trade qualification in Radio Communications or Electronic Communications
- Mobile radio network experience (VMR & LTE)
- Knowledge of PDH & SDH networks
- A good understanding of IP based protocol
- Western Australian C class driver’s licence
