Glencore Mount Isa Mines is currently seeking a Supervisor Services within our Operations Services team, reporting to the Superintendent Services. In this role you will be required to effectively co-ordinate and supervise the personnel as they complete the shift activities at the Zinc Filter plant Operation asset.

The Role

As the Supervisor - Services, you will be responsible for ensuring all tasks and duties are completed safely, efficiently, and on time in support of Surface Operations. This role is not limited to the following and includes as an example - the day-to-day management of wet and dry reagents, media control, and housekeeping support across multiple plant assets. You will oversee the coordination and operation of employee transportation between the Maydown CICO changehouse facility and the Zinc Concentrator, manage third-party Lead concentrate handling activities, and ensure high standards of housekeeping within the concentrator administration buildings. This is a residential position, and you will be required to work a 5/2, 4/3 9-hour day roster.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Manage a team of approximately 10 employees and contractors
• Ensuring reagent is available for both concentrators
• Mill media addition and management for the zinc concentrator
• You will have the ability to make decisions, work to strict deadlines and develop ongoing contingency lans for continuous improvement
• Ownership and management of a small fleet of vehicles and equipment including forklifts, loaders, excavator and bobcats
• Take ownership and accountability to meet agreed targets in a manner consistent with our values
• Provide mentoring to and effectively communicate with your crew
• Be safety focused and prepared to work with others to achieve daily targets and outcomes while continuing to drive a safe, productive and effective workplace where teams are empowered and supported to make improvements
• Oversee and maintain compliance for the services crew with safety and training

You will have the following skillset and attributes:

• Previous experience with frontline leadership
• A minimum of 5 years working in the operational side of the mining industry
• The ability to lead by example and a strong work ethic
• A genuine interest in leading safe teams
• Experience in budget control, Microsoft Office Suite, Ellipse, SAP and/or similar software packages
• Technical knowledge in Filtration plant operations
