Join the Civmec Team We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisors to join our Construction team on a major project based in Eneabba, WA. Reporting to the Area Manager, you will be responsible for leading mechanical construction activities, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with strong experience across mining, oil & gas, resources, or heavy industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising mechanical installation and construction activities on site
- Leading crews to achieve safety, quality, productivity and schedule targets
- Planning labour requirements, forecasting resources and coordinating work fronts
- Monitoring project progress, manhours, productivity and budgets
- Ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality requirements and company procedures
- Managing mechanical equipment installations, piping systems, rotating equipment and commissioning activities
- Conducting workplace inspections, toolbox meetings and safety interactions
- Reviewing and interpreting mechanical drawings, P&IDs, isometrics and project documentation
- Coordinating labour, plant, equipment and materials for efficient project delivery
- Preparing daily reports, progress updates, timesheets and construction documentation
- Building strong working relationships with clients, engineering, quality and HSE teams
About You
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a Mechanical Supervisor, Leading Hand, Senior Mechanical Tradesperson or similar role
- Proven experience delivering mechanical construction works within mining, oil & gas, resources or heavy industrial projects
- Strong leadership experience supervising mechanical trades personnel and subcontractors
- Sound knowledge of mechanical equipment installation, piping systems and commissioning activities
- Excellent problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills
- High level commitment to workplace health and safety
- Recognised Australian Mechanical Trade Qualification (Mechanical Fitter, Fitter & Turner, Mechanical Fitter/Machinist or equivalent)
- White Card (Construction Induction Card)
- Current Driver's Licence
- Schedule 26 qualification
