About the Role

As an  Electrical Supervisor, where you will oversee the electrical maintenance and installation activities within the Surface operations. This role ensures that all electrical systems and mobile equipment are maintained, repaired, and installed to the highest standards, supporting safe and efficient mining operations.

Responsibilities

  • Accept and fulfil the statutory appointment of Electrical Supervisor, ensuring compliance with all obligations of the role.
  • Lead and supervise surface electrical maintenance, including installation, inspection, testing, commissioning and repair activities.
  • Ensure compliance with Energy Safety, WHS, Mining Regulations, Australian Standards and site procedures.
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules and reliability initiatives to maximise equipment availability and operational performance.
  • Lead, mentor and develop electricians, apprentices and contractors, promoting safe and high-quality work practices.
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance and leadership teams to support site objectives and continuous improvement.
  • Foster a strong safety culture through proactive risk management, hazard identification and incident investigation.

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a supervisory or leadership role within the electrical or mining industry.
  • Schedule 26 certification and a current unrestricted WA Electrical Workers Licence is mandatory.
  • Electrical Nominee accreditation or the ability to obtain nomination.
  • Current Apply First Aid, CPR and Low Voltage Rescue (LVR) certification.
  • Current High Voltage Operator Accreditation.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot using electrical schematic drawings and control circuits.
  • Detailed knowledge of underground mining operations, safety systems, and legislative requirements.
  • Strong understanding of underground mining communication systems, including leaky feeder, Wi-Fi, and fibre optic networks.
  • Sound knowledge and practical application of AS/NZS electrical standards and industry best practices.
  • Strong fault-finding, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills in complex electrical environments.
  • Proven ability to mentor, coach, and lead teams of electricians, apprentices, and contractors.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the business.
  • Proficient in maintenance management systems, with SAP experience desirable, and competent in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid manual (C Class) Australian Driver's Licence.
