Job Type: 12 months on going contract with Chandler Macleod on 5/2 hybrid roster (3 days on site and 2 days in Perth city offices)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Specialist Engineer (Mechanical) to lead and support multiple projects within our engineering team. Projects will range in value from $1 million to $10 million. The successful candidate will play a critical role in overseeing project design, award, execution, and delivery ensuring technical excellence, and delivering innovative solutions that meet client specifications and organizational goals in a safe manner.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, procurement, and construction, to facilitate seamless project progression.
• Conduct detailed technical analyses, develop engineering specifications, and review project documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Identify potential risks and implement effective mitigation strategies to address project challenges proactively.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project staff.
• Monitor project performance through metrics and reporting, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Liaise with clients, contractor, vendors and stakeholders to communicate project status, negotiate technical details, and foster strong working relationships.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, or relevant field); a Master's degree is a plus.
• Proven experience (5-7 years) in project engineering, preferably within mining or utilities sector
• Strong technical expertise and understanding of engineering principles, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent project management and communication skills
• Outstanding problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and leadership skills to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
