Reliability Engineer

About the Role

As a Reliability Engineer at Evolution Mining’s Northparkes Operations, you will play a key role in improving the performance, reliability and availability of critical site assets. Reporting to the Senior Mechanical Engineer you’ll support both maintenance and operations teams through reliability engineering activities that drive safe, efficient and cost effective outcomes.

This role offers broad exposure across fixed plant assets, with growing involvement in mobile equipment reliability as the site continues to evolve. You’ll be hands on in areas such as defect elimination, asset tactics development, data analysis and reliability improvement initiatives, contributing directly to productivity, plant availability and long term asset performance.

About You

You’re a motivated and technically capable engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and working closely with operational teams. You balance strong analytical skills with a practical, onsite approach, and you’re comfortable influencing outcomes through data, collaboration and sound engineering judgement.

You will bring:

• A professional engineering qualification (mechanical or similar), or trade to engineering pathway
• Experience in reliability, maintenance or engineering roles within mining, processing or heavy industry
• Strong capability in data analysis, defect elimination and asset performance improvement
• Experience supporting preventative and predictive maintenance strategies
• Confidence using systems such as Excel, MS Office and SAP PM (or similar CMMS platforms) – DAX/SQL and Power BI highly regarded, but not essential
• The ability to communicate clearly with maintenance, operations and engineering stakeholders
• A proactive, accountable mindset aligned with Evolution’s values of Safety, Excellence, Accountability and Respect
• Experience from other heavy or asset intensive industries welcomed, with a strong system based thinking and a knowledge of reliability fundamentals
