About the Role
Primero is seeking an experienced Senior Site based Planner to join our exciting project in Karratha. In this role you will be responsible for provide planning expertise through timely development, implementation, and reporting of planning strategies, with strong focus on critical path, management of change, and forecasting to contribute towards proactively influencing a successful and timely completion of the project. Roster: 2:1
Key Responsibilities
- Comply with all Primero procedures, standards, and processes, while also identifying areas for improvement.
- Assist with the development of a detailed execution schedule(s) based on the scope of works.
- Assist with the development of comprehensive basis of schedule documents outlining schedule assumptions, construction sequencing, calendars, weather, resources, equipment, and critical path information
- Coordinate and maintain design and constructability reviews, and integration between disciplines and contractors in the design office and onsite.
- Contribute to planning meetings, understanding the interface and deliverables of package owners in the development process to validate the integrity of the plan, understand the key risk and opportunities.
- Identify, record, analyse, monitor, and report the impact of any deviations and or changes with focus on key drivers of deviations and early trends.
- Meet all role specific HSE responsibilities, accountabilities and KPIs as per the Primero HSE Management procedures and plans.
About You / Requirements
- University degree preferred (Engineering or similar discipline), but not essential.
- 5-10 Years Experience in a project planning essential
- Experience with EPC Projects advantageous
- Experience in Construction & Engineering, particularly in the Resources & Mining Industries.
- Demonstrated understanding of Critical Path analysis and Extension of Time claims.
- Primavera P6 proficiency is essential
- Strong statistical and analytical reporting skills
- Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerBI
Qualifications & Certifications
- University degree preferred (Engineering or similar discipline)
