About the Role

Reporting to the Project Manager or Mine Foreperson, this position provides the first line of supervision and leadership to each respective crew. Allocating tasks, monitoring work progress and quality whilst ensuring that work is carried out in alignment to company policy and procedures. You will ensure Critical Risk standards are met and are aligned with Barminco’s Purpose, Principles and Aspirations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support site leadership in the effective implementation of Barminco safety systems and initiatives to improve safety performance.
• Perform the daily supervision of the working areas of the mine in accordance with all relevant Acts and Regulations and Barminco’s and our client’s policies, procedures, work instructions and standards.
• Ensure the Mine is run efficiently to the satisfaction of the client and ensuring targets are met.
• Conducts daily work planning meetings / toolbox meetings.
• Ensure visual leadership interactions are undertaken.

Key Requirements:

• Underground Shift Supervisor Certificate
• Full Australian Working Rights
• 5 years Underground experience
• Previous experience working as an Underground Shift Supervisor
• Valid Manual Drivers Licence
• All valid and relevant qualifications, certificates, and licences ​​​
