Company Description:Be the best you can be, with the support you deserve!Anglo American Steelmaking CoalMetallurgical coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world.   Job Description:Reporting to the SHE Manager, you will ensure that all contract activities onsite comply with the Anglo Contractor Management procedures.Key responsibilities are, but not limited to:Manage the Contractor Management Plan, including Authority to Work and Permit to Work systems.Ensure contractor processes are correctly implemented and adhered to across site operations.Conduct regular surface and underground inspections to verify contractor compliance.Confirm equipment used by contractors is safe, maintained, and fit for purpose.Engage directly with contractors to reinforce safe work practices.Lead proactive safety initiatives to drive continuous improvement.Deliver safety presentations and briefings to maintain awareness.Identify and act on opportunities to improve contractor management practices.Provide timely feedback on compliance issues and required corrective actions.Maintain accurate records of inspections, contractor performance, and compliance.Support investigations and follow-up actions related to contractor safety incidents.Collaborate with internal teams to align contractor activities with operational priorities. Qualifications:To be successful in the role you will have to have the following:Demonstrated leadership experience within the coal mining industryS123 and G2Knowledge of relevant mining legislation and its applicationStrong business acumen with in-depth knowledge of contract management including financial management, people management and risk managementStrong interpersonal and negotiation skills to influence and achieve buy-in from key stakeholdersAn ability to identify, lead and develop talent within the businessAn intermediate level of strategic thinking, planning and problem solving abilityAn understanding of key safety risks and ways to mitigate theseUnderground Mining Experience Additional information:Full-time permanent position based at Aquila Mine, MiddlemountMonday to Friday site role with 9-day fortnight available (flexible work)Competitive Salary + 12% Superannuation + Annual BonusResidential, FIFO (company funded) & DIDO optionsSubsidised Anglo accommodation and company funded camp with meals providedDomestic relocation assistance to Middlemount townshipFree gym and pool membershipWhat we Offer When you join Anglo American, you can expect to enjoy a competitive salary and benefits package.
