Toodyay Road project overview

NRW Civil & Mining is delivering the Toodyay Road Upgrade Project, a major safety and efficiency improvement initiative between Dryandra Road and Jingaling Brook Road. The project includes road reconstruction and realignment, intersection upgrades, overtaking lanes, wider sealed shoulders and replacement of the ageing Jimperding Brook Bridge with a new single-span structure. This is a DIDO opportunity with accommodation provided.

About the Role

Join NRW Civil & Mining on the Toodyay Road Upgrade Project, delivering major safety and efficiency improvements between Dryandra Road and Jingaling Brook Road. You will lead HSE delivery across complex road, earthworks and bridge construction, coach project teams and drive continuous improvement and legislative compliance. This is a DIDO opportunity with accommodation provided, offering a Monday-to-Friday day-shift roster and occasional half-day Saturdays.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Implement and maintain project HSE and training systems
• Coach Supervisors and project teams in hazard identification and incident prevention
• Lead incident investigations and corrective actions
• Conduct site inspections and audits
• Provide practical HSE advice to project leadership
• Deliver HSE education and training programs
• Drive continuous improvement and support NRW’s “A Safe Day, Every Day” culture
• Maintain HSE records, reporting and compliance documentation

What You’ll Bring

• Substantial HSE experience within civil construction or infrastructure
• Experience on Main Roads Western Australia projects
• Strong safety leadership, coaching and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience implementing HSE management systems
• Knowledge of the Work Health and Safety Act and Regulations
• Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety
• ICAM Lead Investigator training, current First Aid Certificate and Construction White Card
• Current C Class Driver’s Licence
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and incident management systems
