About the Role

In this role, the Senior Corporate Accountant provides advanced technical accounting expertise to support the integrity of Liontown’s financial reporting and compliance obligations. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the role is accountable for delivering consolidated financial reporting, managing month-end close processes, and coordinating external audit activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepares consolidated financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
• Supports month-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations, to ensure the integrity of financial records within required timeframes.
• Provides specialist analysis of Corporate OPEX and CAPEX variances, identifying discrepancies and developing recommendations to address material differences.
• Manages cash flow monitoring and treasury activities, ensuring accurate forecasting and supporting liquidity management requirements.
• Supports preparation of the half and full year financial accounts and coordination of the external audit process, ensuring audit deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Provides advice on tax reporting obligations, including income tax, GST, and FBT, preparing required calculations, journals, regulatory submissions, and external surveys in accordance with applicable obligations and deadlines.
• Contributes to cost control initiatives and financial analysis across operations, providing insights that support informed decision-making and performance improvement.
• Designs and improves accounting processes and procedures to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with financial reporting standards, and mentors less experienced finance professionals to support capability development within the team.

About You / Requirements

• Significant experience in corporate or financial accounting, preferably within a listed company or resources environment.
• Proven experience in financial reporting, month-end management, and external audit support
• Proven experience with ERP systems; experience with SAP is highly desirable
• Relevant experience applying Australian accounting standards and tax legislation, including income tax, GST, and FBT
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• CPA , CA or CIMA professional accounting qualification
• Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance and pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screen.
