Coordinator Production
Rio Tinto
Job Description
About the Role
Finding better ways™ to provide the materials the world needs.
We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic Production Coordinators to join our Production teams across the Pilbara Mine Operations. Working closely with Supervisors, you’ll help coordinate safe and effective production execution while building strong working relationships across the operation.
This role is well suited to someone who enjoys being hands‑on in the field, thrives in a fast‑paced open‑pit environment, and is motivated by helping teams perform at their best. You’ll actively reinforce safe work practices, support delivery against mine plans, and contribute to consistent outcomes across safety, cost and production.
Frontline leadership support is critical to how we operate. In this role, you’ll be trusted to influence positive behaviours, support team engagement and help create a work environment where people feel safe, supported and accountable. You’ll be backed by structured leadership development and rosters designed to help you balance work, family and community commitments.
FIFO opportunities are available from Perth and regional hubs including Busselton, Albany and Geraldton, working across a combination of day and night shift rosters.

- A permanent position working directly for Rio Tinto
- Competitive base salary reflective of skills and experience, with an annual incentive bonus
- Full relocation support to Western Australia (within Australia)
- Comprehensive medical benefits including subsidised private health insurance for employees and immediate family
- Attractive share ownership plan and company‑provided insurance cover
- Extensive salary sacrifice and salary packaging options
- Career development and education assistance to support your leadership or technical ambitions
- Ongoing access to family‑friendly health and wellbeing support
- Leave for all of life’s reasons, including annual, parental, sick and cultural leave
- Paid parental leave of 18 weeks for all parents, taken at a time that suits you
- Exclusive employee discounts across travel, banking, accommodation, retail and more
