About the Role

Are you experienced in production planning within precision machining or manufacturing environments?

Our client is seeking a skilled Production Planner or Scheduler to ensure efficient operations and on-time delivery across multiple CNC work centres.

Key Responsibilities

• Creating and maintaining a comprehensive production schedule across multiple CNC work centres.
• Identifying bottlenecks, and driving effective solutions.
• Releasing and prioritising work to ensure on-time delivery (OTD).
• Collaborating closely with projects, operations, quality, and leadership to align production with customer commitments.
• Monitoring Work-In-Progress (WIP) and adjusting schedules in real-time based on constraints.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning accuracy, reduce lead times, and optimise flow.

About You / Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in production scheduling or planning within precision manufacturing, machining, or similar sectors.
• Solid knowledge of CNC manufacturing processes, including routing, setup times, and capacity limitations.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP software systems.
• Strong decision-making skills, especially under tight deadlines, with accountability for delivery results.
• Business acumen to understand how planning choices influence costs and operational performance.
• Prior experience in aerospace, defence, or AS9100-certified environments is highly desirable.
