Barminco is inviting Expressions of Interest from experienced underground mining professionals for future Alternate Project Manager opportunities across our operations, particularly within Western Australia.

In this role, you will act as the 2IC to the Project Manager, supporting the safe, efficient and commercially successful delivery of underground mining operations. You will play a key role in maintaining operational continuity, driving performance and building strong client relationships.

What will your day to day look like?

• Support the Project Manager in managing day-to-day underground operations
• Ensure compliance with safety, statutory and contractual obligations
• Monitor project performance against budget, schedule and production targets
• Assist with cost control, forecasting and commercial reporting
• Build and maintain strong client and site stakeholder relationships
• Lead and develop operational leadership teams and manage your workforce planning activities
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
• Act in the Project Manager’s capacity during periods of leave or absence

Our ideal candidate background includes

• Previous experience in a senior engineering and/or Project Management level role ideally within an underground mining environment
• Strong understanding of underground mining processes and safety standards.
• Background in contract management and financial controls/monitoring
• Ability to effectively lead and coach teams to deliver best for project outcomes
