Project Trades

Hays Recruitment is seeking experienced trade qualified personnel for upcoming project works at a major North West Queensland mine site until the end of the year with potential to be ongoing.

With a range of projects underway, we’re looking for versatile tradespeople who are comfortable working across varied project scopes rather than being limited solely to trade-specific duties.

A key upcoming scope includes the installation of a TSF Water Treatment Plant, along with other site project works.

We are seeking:

• Concreters
• Poly Welders
• Electricians
• Mechanical Fitters
• Boilermakers

What’s on offer:

• $65/hr
• 7 days on / 7 days off
• Wednesday to Wednesday roster
• 88-hour working week
• 4 hours paid travel on departure day
• FIFO from Townsville or Brisbane
• DIDO/BIBO options from Mount Isa and Cloncurry
• Variety of mine site project work
• Opportunity to work across different project scopes

What you’ll need:

• Relevant trade qualification
• Previous experience within your trade
• Mining, heavy industrial or project experience highly regarded
• Relevant licences and tickets for your trade
• Strong commitment to safety
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary Projects Team
• Willingness to assist across different project scopes where required
• Ability to complete all required site onboarding and medical requirements

What you’ll get in return

This is a great opportunity to join a busy mine site Projects Team on an attractive 7/7 roster, with a consistent $65/hr trade rate and multiple travel options available.

If you’re an experienced Concreter, Poly Welder, Electrician, Mechanical Fitter or Boilermaker looking for your next mine site project opportunity, we’d like to hear from you.
