The Role
Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, you will support day-to-day open pit mine geology at Mt Magnet, with a focus on grade control and geological interpretation to ensure planned tonnes and grade are delivered safely and accurately, including:

  • Carrying out pit wall mapping and RC chip sampling
  • Supporting RC grade control drilling programs, logging and ore definition
  • Assisting with ore block design and blast movement monitoring to improve extraction accuracy
  • Maintaining 3D geological models using pit mapping and chip logging data
  • Managing drillhole and production data, QAQC and reporting
  • Assisting with stockpile management, daily production tracking and reconciliation
  • Working closely with mining and technical teams to boost ore recovery and reduce dilution

About You
We're looking for someone who brings:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Geology, Geoscience or a related field
  • 2 to 4 years' experience in mine geology, with open pit and gold experience preferred
  • Exposure to Archean greenstone gold systems
  • Experience with Surpac and Leapfrog
  • A current West Australian C Class (manual) driver's licence and the ability to obtain a National Police Clearance for site access clearance.
