Your Opportunity

We are recruiting for a Project Engineering Managerto join our Engineering Team on an ongoing, full time basis. You will lead a multidisciplinary team overseeing the design engineering on a continuous succession of minerals processing projects across various commodities including but not limited to gold, copper, lithium or vanadium.

This role will be based at our new Head Office located at 219 St Georges Tce, Perth. The office is adjacent to the train station and offers state of the art end of journey facilities, including secure storage for bicycles and scooters. It also has a gym with daily fitness classes, a tennis court, basketball hoop and a swimming pool available for all Primero employees to enjoy.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance of project design products with the Design Procedure.
• Ensure design products comply with applicable legislation, standards, client, third party and project requirements.
• Manage the multi discipline Design Team
• Ensure design products are delivered in accordance with the project schedule and budget.
• Provide a weekly update of design progress, issues, holds, change, risk, and deliverables register.
• Hold weekly meetings as per the Design Procedure.
• Ensure designs are fit for purpose and consider all aspects, including, cost, constructability, operability, and maintainability.

What You ‘Can Do’

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 15+ years' experience in minerals processing design.
• Demonstrated experience as a Design Engineer delivering minerals processing projects.
• Previous experience as a Design Manager within the minerals processing sector.
• Chartered Professional Engineer (desired).
• Proven ability to manage a team of design professionals.
• Detailed understanding of multi-discipline design delivery within the minerals processing sector.
• Solid understanding of statutory and industry regulations and HSE practices.
• Knowledge and practical application of design theories, principles, and practices.
• Advanced level of expertise with engineering technical detail.
• Demonstrated planning and organisation skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to continued professional development.
• Strong work ethic.
