Our client is a leading and high-quality Western Australian owned native plant nursery that focuses on supplying plants to clients across the state. On average, they have approx. 5 million plants at their nursery in Perth's Northeast Suburbs and as a result of ongoing growth, they are currently looking for an experienced, permanent full-time Production Supervisor to join and lead their production team.

What will this position entail?
This role will see you overseeing a production team of about 6 - 10 production employees to ensure the operations of the production department run smoothly and on time.

You will be responsible for:

• Leading and coordinating the daily production team, allocating tasks, monitoring progress and adjusting priorities as required.
• Conducting daily toolbox talks and regular team check-ins, providing feedback and support, and addressing issues or escalations.
• Training and onboarding new and casual team members, conducting competency assessments and identifying ongoing training needs.
• Working alongside the team on production tasks while maintaining plant health, grading and quality standards.
• Ensuring compliance with PPE, hygiene, safety and relevant nursery standards, while promoting a positive, respectful and high-performing team culture.

How can I be successful?

• Previous experience in a team leading, superior or leading hand position.
• Experience working in a production environment (doesn't have to be within the nursery / planting industry).
• Strong communication skills with the ability to provide feedback when required
• Full Australian working rights.
• A valid Australian Drivers License and reliable car
