Our Opportunity
12 month contract
Work Location: Perth Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people.
Roster: Monday to Friday
The Principal People Reporting & Analytics role is responsible for defining and leading the enterprise People reporting and analytics strategy. This position delivers advanced workforce insights, establishes data governance frameworks, and provides executive-level reporting that informs strategic workforce and organisational decisions. The role acts as a subject matter expert, driving innovation, optimisation, and a data-informed culture across the People function and broader organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and lead the enterprise People reporting and analytics strategy aligned to organisational objectives.
- Establish and oversee data governance frameworks to ensure quality, integrity, compliance, and security of People data.
- Design and implement advanced data models, KPIs, and workforce metrics that enable strategic decision-making.
- Deliver executive-level dashboards and reporting that provide clear, actionable insights.
- Lead advanced analytics including trend analysis, forecasting, scenario modelling, and predictive insights.
- Drive continuous improvement and optimisation of People systems, reporting tools, and analytics capability.
- Identify and implement innovative reporting technologies and automation opportunities.
- Partner with senior leadership, HR, Finance, and IT to align analytics initiatives with business strategy.
- Act as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor on workforce data and reporting.
- Lead and uplift reporting capability across the function, fostering a data-driven culture.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in workforce analytics, HRIS reporting, or enterprise data strategy in a senior capacity.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Power BI, Tableau, and enterprise HRIS platforms.
- Demonstrated experience designing and delivering executive-level reporting frameworks.
- Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving capability.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate complex insights clearly.
