Description & Requirements

We are seeking an organised and proactive Mobile Plant & Equipment Coordinator to support maintenance scheduling, service planning, compliance recordkeeping, parts tracking, and documentation for our mobile plants (cranes, trucks, trailers, and ute’s).

Working in our Heavy Lift Business Unit, this role is the central link between our maintenance supervisors, technicians, depot teams, vendors, and operations. It ensures our fleet remains safe, compliant, and productive.

Key Responsibilities

Service & Inspection Coordination

  • Schedule and coordinate servicing, statutory inspections and planned maintenance for cranes, mobile plant, trucks, trailers, and light vehicles.
  • Ensure all services/inspections are completed on time and fully documented.
  • Process and file service sheets, inspection reports, and certification documents.
  • Update maintenance status boards in Teams (service due dates, inspections, remarks, parts status).

Maintenance & Compliance Management

  • Review service and inspection findings, raise MRO/EWO requests, and follow through to closure.
  • Maintain compliance documentation in Sharepoint including CraneSafe, pre-starts, road registration, permits, and HSE records.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date asset records in Sharepoint and Keep audit-ready documentation for external compliance requirements.

Parts & Vendor Coordination

  • Coordinate parts ordering and parts tracking with suppliers
  • Follow up vendor ETAs and communicate delays or risks to the maintenance team.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience in mobile plant, cranes, mechanical equipment, heavy vehicles, or construction/mining fleet maintenance coordination.
  • Background in service scheduling, daily maintenance coordination, fleet/plant compliance or workshop support.
  • Experience working with technicians, vendors, workshops, and operational teams.

Qualifications

  • Mechanical trade qualification (desirable but not mandatory).
  • Mobile Equipment awareness, or exposure to crane compliance frameworks is an advantage qualification.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with CMMS / asset management systems
  • Strong Microsoft 365 skills (Teams, Excel, SharePoint).
  • Ability to manage documentation, service records, and compliance files with high accuracy.

  • Excellent communication with internal teams and external vendors.
  • High attention to detail and strong follow-up discipline.
  • Ability to prioritise multiple maintenance demands.
