Portfolio Manager

The Opportunity

Working within an active mining environment, you will be responsible for overseeing portfolio-level financial performance across multiple brownfield and sustaining capital projects. This role is critical in ensuring capital discipline, accurate forecasting, and alignment to site-based delivery schedules, while supporting project teams and superintendents to meet governance and funding requirements.

The Opportunity

Working within an active mining environment, you will be responsible for overseeing portfolio-level financial performance across multiple brownfield and sustaining capital projects.

This role is critical in ensuring capital discipline, accurate forecasting, and alignment to site-based delivery schedules, while supporting project teams and superintendents to meet governance and funding requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and track portfolio spend vs forecast across site-based capital projects
• Maintain and update portfolio S-curves (plan vs actuals) to monitor delivery performance
• Lead end-of-month processes, ensuring accurate cost capture, accruals, and forecasting
• Establish and drive monthly reporting cadences across the portfolio
• Review and validate capital funding submissions and business case documentation
• Prepare portfolio performance reports highlighting spend, variances, and key risks
• Identify projects that are lagging, over budget, or forecast to miss targets
• Proactively engage with Superintendents and Project Engineers to address performance gaps
• Ensure compliance with capital governance frameworks, stage-gate approvals, and internal standards
• Align financial tracking with project schedules and site execution plans

About You

• Experience in mining capital projects, sustaining capital, or site-based project controls
• Background in engineering, finance, project controls, or commercial roles
• Strong understanding of mining project lifecycles, brownfield delivery, and operational constraints
• Proven capability managing portfolio-level financials across multiple concurrent projects
• Strong knowledge of forecasting, cost tracking, and capital governance processes
• Ability to influence and communicate with site leadership and technical stakeholders
• Experience working within live operating environments is highly regarded

• Flights from Perth, Brisbane, or Darwin
• Initial contract opportunity with strong potential for extension
