Your Opportunity

Join a landmark billion-dollar gold project as a Permit & Isolation Officer. In this role, you’ll oversee the safe issue of work permits and implementation of isolations across all energy sources within a major Primero project. Your work ensures activities are carried out by authorised personnel under the right permits and isolations—minimising risk and safeguarding our people.

Roster: 2:1

Your Key Responsibilities

* Implement permit and isolation procedures – Apply and maintain Primero’s permit-to-work and lockout/tagout systems.

* Coordinate and conduct isolations – Ensure correct isolations are applied to equipment and systems before work begins.

* Maintain accurate records – Track permits, isolations, and related training activities.

* Liaise with stakeholders – Work closely with operations, maintenance, and safety teams.

* Ensure compliance – Uphold regulations, standards, and company policies in all work activities.

What You ‘Can Do’

* Technical knowledge – Solid understanding of industrial/construction processes, safety practices, and relevant regulations.

* Permit-to-work expertise – Strong knowledge of isolation and permit systems.

* Communication skills – Able to engage effectively with teams across site.

* Problem-solving ability – Confident in identifying and resolving issues.

* Attention to detail – Accuracy and diligence in all permit/isolations.

* Experience – Minimum 2 years in a similar role.

Additional Preferred Skills

* WA Electrical Licence

* High Voltage Switching (within last 2 years)

* Confined Space Awareness

* Atmospheric Gas Testing

* Hot Works Principles
