What We Offer
- FIFO shutdown from Perth to Port Hedland
- Scope: 26th November to 8th December
- 12-hour shifts working days and nights
- Nightshift allowance: 15% uplift
- Variety of future works as part of our casual shutdown circuit team
The Opportunity
Downer’s Energy & Utilities business has opportunities for Painter Blasters to join us for a shutdown in Port Hedland, WA. This role involves preparing and protecting steel structures, piping and fixed plant equipment through abrasive blasting and the application of protective coatings. Tasks include:
- Grit or sandblasting to remove rust, scale or old coatings
- Applying primers and industrial-grade paint systems to meet corrosion protection standards
To be successful in this role, you will need to be available from 19th November for inductions, picking up PPE and onboarding. Successful candidates will also join our talent pools for future works across remote and regional WA.
About You
- Trade Certificate – highly desirable
- Construction Induction / White Card
- Gas Test Atmospheres, Working at Heights, and Enter and Work in Confined Spaces within 5 years
- Fire Certificate within 5 years
- MSIC – highly desirable
- Prior experience in a FIFO role performing Painter Blaster duties
